The changes which went live on Monday 22 May 2023 allow us to better position ourselves to achieve our Vision of becoming the ‘STEM Partner of Choice’.

Networkers & Resourcing Solutions to join forces with Matchtech to tackle the STEM skills gap 

Specialist technology recruitment company Networkers, and rail recruitment experts Resourcing Solutions have joined forces to adopt the Matchtech brand and help them become the STEM (science, technology, engineering & mathematics) talent partner of choice. Matchtech has nearly 4 decades of experience in engineering recruitment. By bringing the capabilities and experience of Networkers and Resourcing Solutions into its brand, Matchtech will be better equipped to tackle the STEM skills shortages and fulfil our purpose to ‘build a better future – one job at a time’.

We are also pleased to announce that our training & future-skills focused recruiter, Alderwood, has joined the Barclay Meade brand.

To further align with our client's needs, we are increasing our investment into our workforce solutions brand, Gattaca Solutions, and our statement of work brand, Gattaca Projects.  

Gattaca Solutions enables our clients’ people strategies through supply chain management & engagement, process engineering, talent technologies and consultancy, offering contingent workforce solutions (otherwise known as MSP), permanent workforce solutions (otherwise known as RPO) and total workforce solutions. 

Gattaca Projects offers project management and engineering services, including engineering and design, construction and installation, and commissioning and maintenance. Through expert project management and enabled through their unique access to talent, Gattaca Projects delivers reliable value and tangible outcomes.

Tackling the skills gap and becoming the STEM talent partner of choice 

Initiating these changes, will not only assist us in tackling the rapidly changing business landscape, but it will also assist us in tackling the skills gap and building STEM futures. Research undertaken by STEM Learning indicates that 89% of STEM businesses have found it difficult to recruit staff with the required skills in the last 12 months, leading to a current shortfall of over 173,000 workers – an average of 10 unfilled roles per business. This marks a 14% increase from 2019.  

By adding more critical technology, digital and rail capabilities, Matchtech is much better positioned to tackle this challenge and support its customers. And, with Barclay Meade’s new and improved capability across HR & Talent, Finance & Accounting, Procurement & Supply Chain and Sales & Marketing, alongside Matchtech, we are well-placed to support all our customers’ specialist recruitment needs.
