Tell us about your Gattaca career so far.

It’s been packed with opportunities, challenges, change, excitement and progression. In 2012 I moved from the UK to Toronto, Canada and it was a game changer. I quickly captured some large accounts in the region and then had the opportunity to build a team to join me in growing our capability in the region.  In 2015 an opportunity arose for me to lead the office, diversify and bring the business local to Toronto.

Tell us about your move? How easy was this made by Gattaca?

Very easy! After watching the film Shawshank Redemption on a Monday night I remember hearing the quote “there’s more to life than this”. This kind of inspired me and I told my then-boss the next morning that I wanted to move internationally. Within two months they supported me with a move to Toronto!

What are your career aspirations with Gattaca?

I want to continue to grow the region and help us become a major player locally in our chosen markets. I want to create and maintain an environment where people love coming to work and have the ability to live their dream.

Do you have any advice for anyone thinking about joining Gattaca?

As all recruitment careers start, it is tough and you can experience lots of rejection from candidates and clients in the beginning. But you need to be strong. Gattaca offers first-class training and support to help all employees do the best job they can. Great success is followed with great rewards, it really is life changing!

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Seeing people’s progression!
