Three Kings Day

Our Mexico City office takes the cutting of the King Cake on 6 January as an opportunity to get together with our colleagues. Everyone in the office has a chance at acquiring baby Jesus’ blessing and the commitment of bringing tamales on Candlemas Day if they cut through a piece of cake that contains a baby Jesus figurine.

Candlemas

As is tradition in Mexico, staff in Mexico City eat tamales and drink atole. The tamales are usually brought in by those who found a figurine in their cake on Three Kings Day.

Day of the Dead

Every year our Mexico City office decorates the workplace with traditional Mexican artefacts and makes small offerings of food in remembrance of the departed. This is a time of gathering that reinforces togetherness. We then eat ‘’pan de muerto’’ (Bread of the Dead) which is baked in the shape of skulls and crossbones.

Christmas party

Our Christmas party is a special event with a three-course dinner and drinks. Beforehand we have a presentation to look at the company’s achievements and events throughout the year, focusing on team efforts as well as individual performances. Partners then join us during dessert before the DJ arrives to provide festive music.

Every quarter the office ventures out together for some well-deserved downtime. Activities like bowling, dinner, movies and spa activities are just some of the events we run in order to acknowledge and reward those who have worked particularly hard and achieved their goals.
