Gattaca expands Latin American offering

Mathias Mieville, Regional Director for Latin America

Following strong double digit Net Fee Income (NFI), Gattaca is expanding its Latin American offering and moving to a new office in the heart of Mexico City. This NFI growth follows a period of investment by Gattaca in the region, including the appointment of a new Managing Director for the Americas in 2016 and significant headcount increases over the last year.

Leading the new office will be Mathias Mieville, Gattaca’s Regional Director for Latin America. Mathias has been working with the company in Mexico since 2008 and is responsible for developing the business in country and the wider Latin America region, including plans to recruit further specialist recruitment consultants to increase the team’s offering across key industries and match Gattaca’s overall expansion ambitions.

Mathias, Regional Director for Latin America at Gattaca said:

"Our new office not only gives us an opportunity to grow the business, it provides our employees, and future employees, an improved environment to work from."

He continued: "The business is growing quickly across the Americas with many companies turning to our specialist engineering and technology recruitment brands to support them in finding skilled engineers and technology professionals to work on a number of high profile projects across the country."

Gattaca’s Chief Executive Officer, Brian Wilkinson, said: "In line with our strategy to accelerate the diversification of Gattaca’s business, both geographically and in terms of client concentration, we have invested in areas where we see the highest growth potential. Our new, larger offices in both Dallas and now Mexico City, along with clear leadership and defined routes to market in our specialist niches, are expected to capitalise on the opportunities we see."

Gattaca is the parent company for a number of specialist recruitment brands including engineering recruitment specialist, Matchtech, and technology recruitment specialist, Networkers. Mathias will be responsible for building the presence of both brands across Mexico.

In the engineering space, the team will look to expand their already successful operations across the energy, infrastructure and automotive markets, and within technology, the team will focus on placing experts in cloud, telecommunications and cyber security roles, as well as IT based leadership roles, into businesses across Mexico.
