What do you like about working for Gattaca?
'The biggest plus for me is the working environment (aside from the obvious commission). The people are great with good banter and the ethic is just as good with plenty of benefits on offer which makes all the graft feel worth it. Another positive is that the reputation of Matchtech as big players in the Engineering Recruitment industry makes the sales aspect a breeze as most client's already know what we're about so you can't really go wrong!'
What have you found difficult in your first 6months?
'It is initially difficult adjusting to the culture and intensity with not previously having a sales background but you soon find yourself adapting to it and it's quite exciting seeing your own progression in such a short period of time. Doesn't take long for everything to feel a bit more natural and by that point time flies by!'
What would your advice be to any grads thinking about coming into recruitment?
'Best thing to take from my first 5 months experience is to be patient; nothing happens overnight but if you stick at it, with the right attitude and work ethic you will soon see the benefits.'

What do I like about working for Gattaca?
'The exciting element of working for Gattaca is that the potential is truly uncapped. I have the opportunity to build new relationships everyday with clients and candidates meaning I can grow my business for myself and the company. The atmosphere at work is very positive and I work in a motivated team to achieve targets which gives me the drive to succeed, therefore I am now in the position to have a successful career as a recruitment consultant as well as having the chance of earning an uncapped income each month.'
What have your quick successes been?
'I came into Matchtech with zero experience in recruitment and what I've learnt is that Matchtech offer constant support towards growing you as a consultant. The first few weeks were a bit of a whirlwind learning how everything works, but through simply getting on the phone and calling clients and candidates you quickly learn what it's all about. Due to my team setting me targets and constantly answering my questions I was able to work job roles earlier than I was meant to. This meant I achieved early success by placing a candidate with a new client within my first few weeks. This has now given me confidence and physically shown me the potential to do well is there, you just need to take it. This early job fill has also meant that I can already see an increase in my monthly commission, which I now want to just keep on growing! '
