We're looking for a Junior Bid Writer to join Gattaca. They will be responsible for creating bids and proposals and would receive training on the job.

Gattaca's Bids & Solutions team has a proven track record in supporting the development of Junior Bid Writers to become experienced Senior Bid Managers capable of managing the most complex of bids, tenders and proposals.

The start of your Bids career; the Junior Bid Writer role

We are looking for a new member of our hard working team. The role will involve working with all areas of operations, to assist them to create business winning sales documentation under client-driven time constraints.

Working from the Whiteley HQ, our new Junior Bid Writer will work closely with all areas of the group, from the operational teams to marketing, finance and legal, as well as all brands and across all global offices, to produce proposals/bids of the highest quality.

Working within a passionate and hard-working team, this individual will be expected to show high levels of commitment and initiative to help maintain the levels of work, and continue the winning success achieved by the Group.

Responsibilities;

  • Responding to external client requests for information, tenders, proposals and quotations, within stated deadlines and to the high level of quality expected by the group
  • Capturing information from numerous sources to structure responses
  • Writing sales proposals and bids using persuasive writing skills
  • Acting as a champion of the bid process and constantly looking for areas of improvement
  • Gathering and coordinating bid information from business development and operational teams
  • Managing internal client's expectations and stakeholders
  • Assisting with team reporting requirements and maintaining strong personal admin/organisation
  • Managing the editorial process for the proposal/bids throughout its full lifecycle
  • Ensuring tenders are fully compliant with the client's requirements
  • Helping maintain central library of content and templates

Attributes required;

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to write persuasively and desire to continuing developing writing style
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Conscientious, with strong rapport and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work within a pressurised and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to think laterally and identify opportunities for cross-selling

Skills, knowledge & experience required;

  • (Essential) Degree qualified, or equivalent years in industry
  • (Desirable) Degree or experience in an area that required persuasive and informative writing, some level of project management and working competently with Microsoft Office suite; Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • (Desirable) Experience in a sales environment
