Bo Wang, Global Key Account Director

Bo Wang

After two years in the financial services industry working with Standard Chartered Bank and a reverse merger investment bank, I stepped into the recruitment industry in 2007 within my native China.

By this time, recruitment was beginning to shape the industry and differentiate the competition with executive search, mid-to-senior level recruitment search, Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), staffing and pay-rolling, or ‘dispatch’ as it is known in China.

I joined MRI International (China) in the summer of 2008, before moving to Kelly Services in 2012. A few years later I joined up with an old boss from MRI who had formed his own firm called Cornerstone Global Partners. During the period, I helped them explore the challenging contracting market for mid-to-senior level candidates, co-lead an RPO project for Victoria’s Secret, and secured the first prospects for their new O2O recruitment platform targeting the global market.

I was then approached by Gattaca and joined the team as Global Key Account Director in March 2017, working from my base in Shanghai. In my time at Gattaca so far, I have been impressed by the sense of professionalism that is rooted within the team. I deal with my international colleagues on a daily basis and people are responsive, ready to help and ready to discuss business all the time.

Gattaca is a global company with big international expansion plans for both now and in the future, which offers an opportunity to be part of something huge. Most importantly, though, it is the open-mindedness, commitment and the support of the business which makes me proud to work for Gattaca.

Outside of work I enjoy cooking – although I’m really rubbish at Chinese food – I’m a pretty good pastry chef though. Other than food, I regularly practice yoga, am into philosophy and psychology and I’m a huge dog lover - but I don’t have one!
