Richard Carter, Business Development Director - Americas
I joined the Gattaca group in 2002 working in Bromley, Greater London. Having travelled to more than 15 countries to support our clients across Europe, the Middle East, South Asia and Asia Pacific, I decided to venture to Dallas, USA in 2007 to grow an office in the rapidly expanding hub of Texas.
Having been a part of growing our Dallas office from two heads to more than 30, I have now taken on the challenge of developing Gattaca’s Americas Solutions Product offering on the western side of the Atlantic.
As the global recruitment market shifts away from basic, traditional staff augmentation towards a more mature, more holistic recruitment market place, it’s critical that Gattaca evolves our Solution offering in the Americas to remain as competitive and successful as we have been in the decade I’ve worked in the USA.
Given our great office structure in the Americas, covering hubs like Dallas, Toronto, Austin & Mexico City, Gattaca is uniquely positioned to assist our increasingly multinational clients with tangible, local, well-staffed, bricks & mortar locations. I strongly believe that there is no substitute for meeting clients face-to-face to discuss their challenges and our ability to do this at a sophisticated, value add level, will be critical to our future success.
I look forward to the challenge of providing clients staffing solutions in the fastest changing business environment that the world has ever seen, offering them assistance with their talent challenges in an ever-changing marketplace.
It’s our role as the recruitment solution provider to not only satisfy the hiring needs of our clients but to exceed those expectations and ensure the process of recruiting talent is a reflection of the goals, ambitions and vision of the client. My modus operandi has always been to represent an extension of the client’s own recruitment infrastructure and I bring that mind set to every day, challenge and opportunity.
Outside of work, my wife and I will typically be kept busy playing Barbie and schools with our two young daughters. Away from home I manage to lose copious amounts of golf balls when given the opportunity and I still play football every week with many of our Dallas office staff as I desperately cling onto my youth.
