5 reasons why London Bridge is the perfect work location in the capital

We opened our newest office in the Cottons Centre, London Bridge in 2017, and we think it’s one of the best places to work in the city. From the amazing views to the great after-work social spots, here are just a few reasons why we love our new home and why you could love working here too:

An abundance of lunch options

There are hundreds of cafes and restaurants in the London Bridge area, so you’ll never get bored on your lunch break. Borough Market, one of the biggest food markets in the city, is right on the doorstep and has some of the tastiest food around.

If packed lunches are more your thing, there are plenty of benches you can perch on with views of the Thames, Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, and The Shard, which is nearly impossible to miss.

Connected to the boroughs and beyond

As one of the main National Rail hubs in Central London, London Bridge welcomes trains from all over Sussex and Kent. The underground station also provides access to both the Northern and Jubilee lines, so it’s an easy commute if you live in London, or are hopping on the tube from King’s Cross or Waterloo National Rail stations. Our office is literally 45 seconds from London Bridge station too (is it sad that I’ve timed it?).

Great after-work spots

Whether you’re looking for a nice restaurant or a cold beer after work on a Friday, London Bridge has it all. The George Inn and Balls Brothers are favourites in our office for after-work drinks and End of Quarter socials.

If you’re feeling flush, there are four Michelin-starred restaurants within walking distance, as well as a number of independent and chain eateries.

Perfect for fitness fanatics

One too many lavish lunches? Not to worry, there are two gyms in the area, including Fitness First’s flagship gym in the basement of the Cottons Centre. You are entitled to a Cottons Centre discount, but why not put your negotiating skills to the test and see if you can get more money off? If the gym isn’t your thing, nothing beats running alongside the Thames in your lunch break and taking in the historic sites of the city.

If that all sounds too much like hard work, you can try your hand at a bit of table tennis in the office to keep you occupied on those rainy winter lunchtimes.

Our Cotton Centre home

What’s not to love about our office interior? The open-plan space helps harness creativity, plus there’s never a dull moment with the constant buzz of activity. With 15 different languages spoken amongst the team, there’s a great cultural blend and plenty of interesting conversations.

With all this and much more to explore, London Bridge may well be the perfect work location in the city.
