Gattaca launches new Purpose, Vision, Mission & Values

If nothing else, the COVID-19 pandemic taught us all the importance of understanding your ‘why’.  

For the past 12 months, Gattaca has been on a journey to help the communities we serve, including helping unemployed STEM talent to find work, helping clients navigate the new talent landscape, and supporting our charity partner, Foothold,  as they launched a new wellbeing hub for Engineers & Technologists. Our driving force was - and remains - our people and our communities. 

In October 2021, Gattaca re-aligned its Purpose, Vision, Mission and Values to reflect who we are now, as well as the positive impact we want to continue to create for our key communities. 


Our Purpose: "To provide the skills needed to build a better future - one job at a time." 

Our future will be defined by the innovators of today. The Technologists and Engineers we place will shape the world the next generation will inherit. 

Our Purpose recognises that, through the skills of our colleagues, we deliver the talent and solutions our clients need to build a faster, smarter, cleaner and fairer world. We stay grounded in the knowledge that change doesn't happen overnight - we focus project-by-project and job-by-job to live our Purpose and create greater value for our communities. 


Our Vision: "To be the STEM talent partner of choice." 

Our Vision sets the course for where we are going.  

It is ambitious, challenging, not limited by practicalities, and will drive change in our organisation to help us continuously pursue the goal of being the number one choice for our clients, candidates, colleagues and suppliers.  

With over 35 years’ experience, we’re deeply embedded and uniquely positioned within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) industries, but we recognise that we will only be the 'partner of choice' by continuing to invest in the people, systems and solutions that they need. 

Back in September, we shared the news that we had been featured in HRO Today’s Baker’s Dozen RPO rankings for the second year in a row. These rankings are formulated based on direct feedback from our clients and partners – so whilst our Vision is ambitious, in many ways it is also representative of who we already are.

This could mean helping our clients make talent become an enabler for their success, enriching the lives of our candidates through the right career opportunities, creating more fun, inclusive and fulfilling working environments for our colleagues, or generating shared value and opportunity for our supply chain.
