During your induction we take you through everything you need to know, covering our company history and our branding, as well as what our business strategy and values are; giving you the foundations you need to build a strong and successful career here.

Sales Academy

The Sales Academy is a thorough and robust training programme we’ve developed for all new recruitment consultants that’s designed to teach you how we recruit successfully. The course is during your first five days with us and covers a range of topics, from the recruitment process, sales structure and overcoming objections, to business development and managing the process. We take training and development seriously and this course sets you up with everything you need in order to start building a successful career with us.




Rising stars

This is a training programme for our recruitment consultants who we have identified as being future high flyers in the business. The course is designed to give an accelerated learning programme to consultants who have shown real promise in their first 12 – 24 months and we expect many of these to become senior consultants in the future. The programme is a great way to propel your career forward and move up the ladder. To coincide with the training, our staff also receive bespoke coaching sessions to aid their personal professional development.

High performers

This advanced sales and personal development programme has been created for the high performing recruitment consultants within the business. The course is aimed at increasing sales skills, keeping our consultants at the top of their game and helping them to progress up the career ladder. The course is highly interactive, consisting of one-to-one coaching and classroom training to give you the support you need to develop flawless business plans on which to build and grow.





We have recently invested in a new type of training for all our staff called TotalSDI. This provides a toolkit to help you understand more about your communicative style and how you like to be communicated with, as well as that of others and how they like to be communicated with. You’ll gain new perspectives and understand what motivates you. Knowing how motivation impacts your work can lead to greater awareness of yourself and others; more perceptive feedback and clarified expectations about work roles and relationships.

Courses and qualifications

We are dedicated to providing our staff with market-leading training both when you start at Gattaca and throughout your career with the company. We offer a variety of structured training courses and programmes, both internally and externally, to help your professional development. Some of the courses we offer internally include: interview skills, negotiation, business development, headhunting, client meetings, and job advert writing. These courses are adapted for people at different stages of their career, from those who are completely new to recruitment, to those in more senior roles who have been in recruitment for a number of years.




To complement this development activity, we provide funding for our staff to undertake studies for recognised qualifications, specific to their background and specialism. For our UK recruitment consultants, we enrol them onto the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) course; provided by the professional body for UK recruitment businesses. This qualification helps increase our staff’s effectiveness, expands their knowledge within the industry and enhances the service we can provide to the clients and candidates we work with.

In addition to our recruitment staff, our Group Support teams play a vital part in the success of the business too, and we invest heavily in their training and development, to help them become experts within their specialism.
