How a Statement of Work can solve your IR35 challenges
Did you know that a Statement of Work (SOW) is one of the most effective solutions for mitigating the range of financial, operational, legal and reputational risks that IR35 presents to your business? In fact, because of its simplicity and ability to deal with targeted groups of high-priority assignments, the SOW model was one of the most commonly deployed when the public sector reforms took place in 2017.

If one or more of your company's off-payroll worker assignments can be classed as a deliverable outcome-based piece of work, then you could outsource it under a statement of work contract.
This would take the responsibility for determining the assignment's IR35 status away from you, alleviating the risk of non-compliance. Outsourcing in this way could also save you from needing to make large-scale resource changes.

So, how does it work in practice?
Having delivered engineering and technology-based statement of work contracts for almost a decade, Gattaca Projects has a lot of experience in successfully delivering outcome-based pieces of work on behalf of our customers.
Our model involves the worker providing their services to Gattaca Projects, rather than your organisation, as a third party services provider. We are then responsible for delivering the services to you under a statement of work contract. This includes full project management against specific deliverables and milestones, meaning you are no longer paying for a worker's time, but instead, for a specific outcome.
