Networkers MD promoted to the Gattaca management board

James Smith, Networkers MD

Gattaca has appointed James Smith, managing director for its specialist technology brand Networkers, to the Gattaca management board.

Gattaca’s chief executive officer, Brian Wilkinson, said, "James’ promotion reflects the vital role that he plays as managing director of Networkers and in driving the strategic direction and growth of the Group.

"James has been responsible for a number of major account wins for the business, including Toyota and Unisys. He has also been instrumental in the smooth transition since Gattaca’s acquisition of Networkers and helped us cement our position as a Top 5 Technology recruiter."

Since joining Networkers in 1998 as a recruitment consultant, Smith (pictured) has held the roles of head of specialist IT markets and also managing director for global IT; successfully setting up the group’s IT teams in 10 overseas offices. Following the acquisition of Networkers and Gattaca’s strategic review of the combined technology business, Smith was appointed to his current position as managing director of technology.

Gattaca says Smith’s appointment to the management board shows the value and investment it is making in their technology business.

Utilising Smith’s 19 years’ global experience and knowledge in the market, his role on the management board will be to provide strategic growth input and plans for how the business can continue to develop in its UK and overseas markets.
